Trader's Diary 29/7/13

By Smoking Gun

Bought 100,000 shares of Hi-P on 28/7/13 at 0.805. No other positions added or exited during this period. All in all relatively good day for the portfolio. Net cash invested still remains at 49% of portfolio.

The Singapore site will be officially launch this Thursday. You can sign up for free 7 day trial by clicking through the link. We are using the name P8118,com to launch with our partners the Murasaki system into Singapore, Shenzhen and Shanghai, as you know the Murasaki (Japanese word) name may not be so welcomed in China.

The Best Kept Secret In Town

The Best Kept Secret In Town

Dear All Paid Users, Expired Users & Trial Users,

If you have not been using Murasaki system, these were the stocks you have missed and the prices at the time of the "highlights":

MUHIBBAH (0.88)
PUNCAK NIAGA (1.32)
KSL (1.74)
FAVCO (1.62)
KECK SENG (4.58)
PESTECH (1.13)

We do not say that we get 9 out of 10 but we stick pretty close to our target of 6-7 out of 10 picks right. In addition, the sensitive SFI has helped users to better take up or reduce their position. This morning was a brilliant example of how sensitive the SFI was, it stayed c;lose to 1000 for the first 15 minutes before moving gradually out of the negative zone of 1000-1005 ... when its 1007-1008, you can start trading ... it went to 1040 and above, which is an extremely bullish indicator. Just watch out for T+3.

Regards

Advance MasterClass & Upcoming Significant Value-Adds

Following the long holiday period, its time to get back to track the stock market closely. I expect a volatile period for the next 2 months as the country gears up to possibly the most important election in the history of Malaysia.
We have a few important announcements:

a) Advance MasterClass – I have devised a more in depth and critical session on how to better use and understand the Murasaki ts system. As this is an Advanced class, only those who have attended the normal MasterClass should attend. It is a critical session to look at how the M index should be interpreted, just looking at high M index stocks is too one dimensional. If you follow the stocks we shortlist every day at 9.00-9.10am and at 4pm, not many will grasp why these stocks are selected – we will elaborate on the nuances in Advanced MasterClass. This class is not open to trial users and expired, only paid subscribers.

b) Significant improvement in MFI – We are proud to announce that we are in the process of improving the MFI, which currently only reflect the past day’s data. We are confident we can roll out a live MFI, which will be a significant indicator for “sell signals” especially for day traders and short term punters. The Advance MasterClass will elaborate on the usage and launch date.

c) SMS Alerts – This should be launch by end of March. It’s a free service. During the Advance MasterClass, we will provide further details on how it works. Basically you will put certain stocks under “favourite 1 page” and “favourite 2 page”. When launched, you will be able to key in up to two price levels for each stock. This way you can monitor your stocks without looking at a live screen all the time.

Track Record So Far

We cannot aim to 100% correct, what we aim for is to get 2 out 3 correct. Pointless to ramble on if the system does not work. Below were the stock picks which we highlighted to our subscribers every day from 9.00am-9.10am and from 4.00pm-4.10pm. Our usual recommended holding period is 1 day-10 days. The effective performance should be the second last column which referenced the time stamped price to actual closing price.
